About FAY

FAY is a graphic design and creative technology studio based in Brooklyn, NY. The studio works with a range of clients in the fields of technology, music, arts & design, fashion, and higher education. We’re a small, passionate team of designers, strategists, creative technologists, and musicians, all focused on creating work with an eye towards the future.

Role

As Senior Designer you will lead design efforts for the studio (with input from the Creative Director) and help in overseeing other designers on the team. This role is for an energetic, self-motivated individual interested in producing bold and exciting work.

Senior Designers are expected to work on multiple projects simultaneously, be highly creative, detail oriented and comfortable communicating directly with our clients.

In this role, you will work on client projects that span across a range of disciplines including visual identity design, website design, book & publication design, art direction, bespoke typography & image making, and motion. In addition to client work, Senior Designers also collaborate on studio-initiated projects, working closely with our creative technologist on a range of interactive R&D projects that bring together technology and design to build futuristic, digital tools and interactive experiences. 3D and motion skills are a major plus, but are not required.

Requirements

• 5+ years professional experience in the graphic design field
• BFA or equivalent in graphic design
• Hybrid in Brooklyn, NY is preferred.
  Remote applications must be within 3 hours from EST to be considered
• Exceptional typographic, visual, and verbal craftsmanship
• Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (proficiency in After Effects and C4D/Blender are a major plus but not required)
• Manage timelines and work across multiple projects at once
• Communicate clearly and efficiently with clients, including meeting with clients, sending emails, and presenting work
• Ability to work closely with our multidisciplinary, tight-knit team
